What kind of modifications do you have to do to your machine to make it dialed for you?

4" riser, Pro Taper gold bars, adjust the shocks, custom seats, different throttle and different brake caliper, C&A XT's, and straightline exhaust.

What do you drive these days?

1997 F-350 Crew Cab Powerstroke on 22's, 1991 Dodge `1982 Pisten Bully 200D.

How do you relax during the season?

I relax by going to Court, keeping my clients out of jail, and keeping families together.

What does your training regiment look like?

Sara, my girlfriend, set me up on a core strengthening regiment of push-ups, sit-ups, crunches. I jog occasionally, snowboard often and ride my mile long XC track. Mountain bike daily in the summer.

If you were not a pro rider, what do you think you would be doing?

Lawyer and working hard to become pro.

What was your first motorized toy?

Ski-doo Elan, it taught me the art of rebuilding carbs!

I have two: Cooke City or Flyn' Style Ranch.

What's your view on country music?

I don't watch it, I jam out to it.

Who did you look up to as a kid?

Gretzky, Yzerman, Rodman, My Dad, and Chuck Adams.

What was the hardest thing you had to give up to be where you are today?

I don't feel like I had to give up anything. If I did it was well worth it.

What's your favorite thing about where you live now?

Opportunities as an attorney, excellent grouse hunting, trout fishing, and a decent whitetail herd. Oh love the snow! My favorite thing is that I can own land, farm the land in the summer, build my snowboard park in the winter and hunt, fish, and mountain bike all close to home.

What is one thing you wish you could do but can't?

I wish I could see out of my left eye.

What is your favorite toy besides your machine?

My Lib Tech Skate Banana.

Was your family into your sport before you?

Not really.

What is the scariest thing you have done?

Taken the Bar Exam.

What do you plan on doing when you retire?

Hunt and farm.

What was your career plan before your current career took off?

I wanted to play pro hockey.

What goals have you set for yourself for this year?

I am working on a new trick, and consistently flipping. And improve the perception of freestyle snowmachining so it is more recognized and more respected in the snowmobile industry.

How did you originally get involved with Slednecks?

I rode the early Slednecks-Red Bull comps in Jackson. Then Thacker invited me to ride with Slednecks at the Ironwood ISOC race in 2008. Thanks Paul.

If you could be any superhero which one would it be and why?

Spiderman, I wouldn't have to haul around my climbing tree stand.

After a major accident or injury, what motivates you to get back?

The need to improve my skills.

With all of the advancement of snowmobiles in the past years what has been your favorite improvement?

C&A XT's!

Also what improvement are you looking forward to?

Better fuel economy.

What is the best safety feature available now?

Beacon most likely or 661 helmets.

What words of encouragement would you give to someone aspiring to be you?

If you want to ride freestyle get a job, make some money, maintain your sled, build a ramp, and ride. Don't expect anything to be handed to you. Don't expect anybody to fill in your bomb holes, tighten your skis, sheet your ramp, make it happen yourself. You're wasting time, get to work!

If you could choose any sport to be a professional at what would you choose and why?

I would like to be a professional hunter. I love hunting and it would be killer to travel around hunting, promoting sportsmanship and improving wildlife.

What are your thoughts on Evil Knievel?

I think he was a highly motivated individual.

What are your thoughts on Robbie Knievel?

One hell of an American.

What can you do to keep current riding areas open to the public?

Follow the rules! Respect landowners.

What's the dumbest thing you have ever done?

Top of the list is taking apart a Walker Evan shock which was fully charged with a hammer and screw driver. Wow, watch out.

What's the smartest thing you have ever done?

Had Dr. Poland at the Crosby Eye Clinic perform Lasik Eye Surgery on my eyes.

What are your thoughts on monster trucks?

I think monster trucks are more American than our current President.

What was the last concert you went too?

I have only been to two concerts both at the Gogebic County Fair, I don't recall who was at the last one.

Beer or the hard stuff?

Wish I could say neither, but not beer is my answer.

Do you consider golf a sport?

I do because it takes mental focus and specials shoes.

Do you consider horse racing a sport?

I do because jockeys are athletes.

Mountain bikes or dirt bikes?

Both, Trek Top Fuel 9.8 and KTM 450 SX.

Who is your favorite action sports athlete?

Pastrana, I met him and he was a super cool guy. Frisby is a tie for first.

What's the one thing that could make the world a better place?

The world would be better if everybody worked harder and lived up to their potential.

If you could go riding with anyone in the world who would it be and why?

I would love to ride road bikes with Lance Armstrong. Why?

He has the courage to do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

Why do you do what you do?

I ride sleds because it is freedom, an avenue of self expression and it is one of the best ways to feel alive! I do everything else that I do because I need to do so to be happy and live life to its fullest.
